As a child, my mother would take me and my sisters to the park to draw the old houses that lined Mountain Avenue. In 2023, I had the unique opportunity to draw a series of seven houses for the Fort Collins Historic Homes Tour...... I enjoyed it so much that I sent out a handful of greeting cards to other homeowners inviting them for a custom house portrait.
When I received the photos for this house in Denver, I was ecstatic! So many angles and elements that added to the intrigue.... The photos were also taken in the fall, so I was asked to add flowers and foliage, which of course I was happy to oblige!
I felt like I was drawing something straight out of a fairytale, thus the name, "House of Charms."
